Wow!   I have been busy at home with work in my Garage, i have a new central heating and cooling system installed, brand new 200amp electrical panel, and i was outside raking my lawn.  Who would of thought me getting a house with Severine would be so...fun!

I do not want to dock Apple.  I like Apple stuff, infact I have owned many iPods with no problems and no issues.  There is just the scary matter of the stories I hear of Apple covering up their support issues.

Meet the Apple iPad

World, meet the most anticipated hardware from Mac.  Rumors of this pad have been around for almost ten years.  There are even jokes and comics about the rumors all over the net.  My colleague that has a website about DSLRs and all things cameras even has a post.  I have to do a post about it as well!  How is it related to HTPCs?  Well, it is not, but it is the first in a wave of new products and copy cats that will be created.  There is a lot of potential in a product like this.  It can be used as a big remote for your Home Theatre room, the possibilties are endless, it has many features of the iPhone and iPod Touch and runs a modified version of the iPhone's operating system.  Just like the iPod before it, book stores hope that the iPad will revolutionize the Print industry. ASUS Xonar HDAV 1.3 Slim Sound Card – Review

xonar1Benchmark reviews have released a review on the Asus Xonar slim sound card with HDMI ports on it.  Media Center owners rejoice, we can now have HD audio, at a better price and it will fit in small HTPC cases!

This is sort of a follow up to Asus' other sound card, the Xonar HDAV 1.3 Deluxe (announced here on EngadgetHD.com).  I did not get that card because of it's ridiculous price tag of 300$+ CAD.  It also came with other ports that i do not need, but at the same time, i use 1/8" jacks for headphones and desktop PC speakers.
