E3 2009 has officially started!

E3 logoWith June 1st 2009, came the first day of the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo, or commonly known as E3!  What does this have to do with Media Centers or HTPCs?  Well, nothing directly related, but it's the new hardware that is announced for PCs, and gaming consoles that i'm looking forward too!

What is the E3 show?  Here's a Wiki quote:

The Electronic Entertainment Expo, commonly known as E3, is an annual trade show for the computer and video games industry presented by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). It is used by many video game developers to show off their upcoming games and game-related hardware. The new E3 Expo is run by International Data Group (IDG [1] ) instead of by ESA.

You can read more information on what the show is here.  What does that mean? New game announcements and trailers! New hardware equipment, HDTVs (Samsung is showing 2 production ready OLEDs!), and the new PSP will be officially released.
