HTPC Media Cases with Touch Screens

Bookmark and Share

When building a HTPC, I find getting a nice looking case is always a problem!  It is hard to find something that looks good on paper, and in your TV stand.  I have built some HTPCs with Antec Cases, but I have always wanted to get my hands on a Moneual MonCaso case.  Just look at them, they look so impressive that you almost are afraid to touch it!

As a sort of follow up to Toms Hardware HTPC cases review from October 2009, they have now reviewed three high end HTPC cases, and they all have a touch screen built into the case.  SoundGraph iMon seems to be the common partner for their trusty iMedian HD software interface, and their hardware.

The cases average at about 500$ each, with the screen and remote.  Is it worth it?  All depends on the end user, and their budget.  If you're going to get a 3000$ projector, then a 2500$ amplifier, and 2000$ speakers, I guess a quality HTPC is in order!  The interface is pretty handy, and i know iMon make some good stuff, but when i'm sitting 15 feet away, I do not what to get up to change the song, so for me, it is an expense i can not justifiy.

You can read Tom's Hardware review here.

Now how many of you have been able to properly read "Moneual"?? Mon-E-ual
