This is over the top, even for me! Six Million Dollars (USD) was spent in developing this home theatre setup by Jeremy Kipnis.
The setup has some impressive features for the audio and video aspects. He has a projector setup and an 8.8 speaker suround sound setup. The screen is an 18-foot Stewart Snowmatte laboratory-grade screen, not from your local bestbuy, and a Sony ultra-high-resolution (4,096 x 2,160 !) SRX-S110 digital projector pointed towards it. Of course, it is all THX certified equipment, and the audio frequencies going really high (100 Kilohertz from the tweeters) and really low bass (10 hertz); it must really boom when movies have explosions!
I just, i dunno, why does it have to look so ugly? He can work on refining the details, incorporating the speakers better into the room, hide the electronic equipment and wires. It has a style to it, it looks sort of utilitarian, but it doesn't look like six million dollars.
