I know that my blog isn't about cars, but i'm a car fan, and i had to post this sad news. It's official, GM will officially close Pontiac. Autoblog has a nice post, and a video on it that i embeded on here. But you're still asking, why a car related post, on a media-center centric site? A Top Ten List of course!
I have never been a great fan of american cars. With my 'experience' growing up with the cars my friends and family owned, i'm a european car guy at the core. You can't beat the handling of a good VW, or BMW car. GMs are known for thier power, and gobs of it. Look at the Corvette ZR1, who wouldn't want a car like that, tons of power, and it handles great!
Other annoucnements today from GM - they plan to have "the resolution" of Saab, Saturn, and Hummer by the end of 2009 "at the latest."
You can see the Top 10 list from Autoblog here! I'm surprised the Pontiac GTO isn't on the list...Vin Diesel's famous car in the Fast and the Furious series, as well as xXx. You can read more about that car here! I think it would be one of the few GM cars i'd like to drive, and who knows, maybe jump it!
